The latest example (for me) of outrageous pricing. Combined with the totally unjustified cost of textbooks at colleges, the time has come to shut down the traditional publishing industry, IMHO.

These five volumes, including the $250-$350 that each author received, cost roughly $10 each to produce. This set should be selling for no more than $250, and more properly, $175. It should also be offered free online in searchable single PDF for all five volumes. It's time authors with knowledge disintermediated publishers whose greed destroys the purpose of the work being written.

I know the author and consider him the foremost Canadian intellect on this topic, up there with Michael Herman and Christopher Andrew. This book should not be priced above $65.

Mix of three to four star content, zero to the publisher for pricing. Should be $45 instead of $120.

$116 dollars? It's time to put the publishers out of business. Write to Jeff Bezos, tell him that we need for Amazon to accept books digitally from authors, and arrange with FedExKinko's to print and deliver books locally, which has the added advantage of eliminating the carbon footprint and putting Chinese publishers out of business as well.

Should be offered free as a PDF on the web. Not the author's fault publishers are getting greedy (even with decline ofthe value of the dollar). Should be sold at $29.95 with no marketing and overhead, or at $39.95 if properly marketed.

Not as bad as some, but still much too expensive to be useful to all who could benefit.
