Customer Reviews

So close, but...4
This is a good SAP book save for one problem, it is screaming out for the services of a good editor. I am an SAP consultant, trainer and end user and have installed SAP Warehouse Management with the help of this book. The maddening thing about it is it is packed with useful information, clunky sentences, unnecessary words and not quite enough information in some important areas. The automatic creation of storage bins springs to mind.
I bought this author's Materials Management (First edition) book and it is similar.
It still deserves its four stars because if you are an experienced SAP practioner you can fill in the bits Martin leaves out and ignore his stilted writing style. And if you are new to Warehouse Management you can decipher the writing style after a couple of readings and get a huge amount of useful information from it.

As good as attending to SAP training sessions.5
I'm a SAP Consultant and have struggled a lot to find customizing guides for every single module in the logistics spectrum. I have bought some books, including the MM book written by the same author, downloaded documentation from SAP but the SAP official courses have been the only way of mastering a specific module in most of the cases. Any other source can be considered a reference and it is required to put a lot of effort to convert those materials into tutorials.

This books is a very useful guide for SAP consultants with a logistics background who would like to learn SAP WM as well as for end-users who are interested in getting acquainted with SAP WM scope. The book covers how to set up master data and execute every-day activities in a warehouse, transaction by transaction, while explaining the customizing settings that regulate the process.

It's worth pointing out that the book contains plenty of screenshots that makes it easy to follow without having a computer in front of you. So I can say with no doubts that I'm quite satisfied with the book, I've already read the first 6 chapters and it feels that WM is a simple solution and it would have been a waste of money to pay $3,000 for a 5-days course at SAP classrooms ([...]), specially when the official material is available in many of the file-hosting sites.

Very good overall summary of SAP WM5
This text provides an excellent high to mid-level detail summary of how to configure or plan for configuration of your SAP WM instance.
