About the Author
Joel D. Wisner is a Professor of Supply Chain Management at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. He earned his PhD in Operations and Logistics Management from Arizona State University in 1991. Prior to that time, Dr. Wisner worked as an engineer in the oil industry in West Texas and the Louisiana Gulf Coast. He is currently keeping busy editing the International Journal of Integrated Supply Management while teaching an internet-based undergraduate course in operations management and a graduate course in supply chain management. His research interests are in quality assessment and improvement strategies along the supply chain. His articles have appeared in numerous journals including Journal of Business Logistics, Journal of Operations Management, Journal of Supply Chain Management, Journal of Transportation, Production and Operations Management Journal, and Quality Management Journal.
